Muriel van Dinteren is the founder of VocalNote, Stem Coach Online Academy, the creator of the Be Your Own Voice vocal method, and the author of the book "Be Your Own Voice"
Born in Circus Knie in Switzerland and raised as a child of Circus Sarrasani, Muriel started at the age of 16 as the youngest singing student at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. She graduated from the opera studio and then pursued private studies with Diane Forlano in London. Her journey included masterclasses with renowned artists such as Mariane Cornetti, Nelly Miricioiu, Inga Nielsen, Vera Rozsa, Galina Vishnevskaya, Jard van Nes, and John Cage.
With a career as a Jugendlich dramatic soprano, Muriel has achieved many highlights, including roles as Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana, First Lady in Die Zauberflöte, Maddalena in Maddalena by S. Prokofiev, and Turandot by F. Busoni in Turandot. She made her debut at the VARA matinee in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and performed in operetta concerts in the Concertgebouw and Die Csardasfurstin.
In addition to her performances, Muriel received several scholarships, including those from the Bayreuth Wagner Society and the FAPK to conduct operetta research in Europe.
In 2000, Muriel founded The Dutch Operetta and received a grant to translate De Vetter Aus Dingsda into Dutch. The company received a national theater tour.
In 2010, Muriel made a career switch and founded the Dutch Singing College, now known as VocalNote. She discovered her talent for coaching while guiding colleagues and singers during her solo career and studies at the conservatory.
Today, Muriel is one of the top voice and performance coaches in the Netherlands, guiding singers, entrepreneurs, and speakers who want to reach the top or who are already there.
With an active podcast "Be Your Own Voice" on Spotify and iTunes, the Stem Coach Online Academy launched in 2022, her voice inspiration cards, and the book "Be Your Own Voice" in 2023, Muriel continues to explore new paths and inspire others.
In 2024, Muriel launched her Master Voice Circle, where she coaches women on more visibility with voice and presence.

Muriel van Dinteren is de oprichtster van VocalNote, Stem Coach Online Academie, en bedenker van de Be Your Own Voice-stemmethode, en auteur van het boek "Be Your Own Voice, de zoektocht naar je eigen stemgeluid".
Geboren in Circus Knie in Zwitserland en opgegroeid als kind van Circus Sarrasani, begon Muriel op 16-jarige leeftijd als jongste zangstudent aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag. Ze studeerde af in de opera studio en volgde daarna privéstudies bij Diane Forlano in Londen. Haar reis omvatte masterclasses met gerenommeerde artiesten zoals Mariane Cornetti, Nelly Miricioiu, Inga Nielssen, Vera Rozsa, Galina Vishnevskaya, Jard van Nes en John Cage.

Muriel heeft in 2000 De Nederlandse Operette opgericht en kreeg hiervoor een subsidie om De Vetter Aus Dingsda te hertalen naar het NL. Het gezelschap kreeg een nationale theater tour.
In 2010 zette Muriel een carrièreswitch en richtte ze het Nederlands Zang College op, nu bekend als VocalNote. Ze ontdekte haar talent om te coachen terwijl ze tijdens haar solocarrière en studie aan het conservatorium collega's en zangers begeleidde.
Tegenwoordig is Muriel een van de top stem- en performancecoaches van Nederland en begeleidt ze zangers, ondernemers en sprekers die naar de top willen of daar al staan.
Met een actieve podcast "Be Your Own Voice" op Spotify en iTunes, de Stem Coach Online Academie die in 2022 werd gelanceerd, haar stem inspiratiekaarten en het boek "Be Your Own Voice, de zoektocht naar je eigen stemgeluid" in 2023, blijft Muriel nieuwe wegen bewandelen en anderen inspireren.
